Starting something new is really hard. 

 

The gym is probably one of the most intimidating places you can go when you don't feel great about yourself. That sucks. The gym is a place where you can work on being your best you, whatever that means to you; and we want you to feel safe to explore that here. 

 

STRONG. is a warm, inclusive environment where we meet you where you are, and work with you to get where you want to go.

 

Whether you are brand new to working out, or have taken some time away from the gym, we always look at your past experiences, old and new injuries, and consider all of it in building your exercise routine.

 

Whether you want to change the way you look, change the way you feel, get stronger or out of pain, or just build confidence in your abilities and yourself. Whatever your goals, we'll be there on your side to help you overcome the challenges that come with trying anything new.

Beginners

STRONG. for CrossFit and Powerlifting

Your sport is unique.

 

Work with someone who understands the unique demands of the skills and technique that your sport has.

 

We have worked with world record holders in powerlifting and some of Canada’s top-ranked CrossFitters. We’ve worked on developing technical skills, rehabbing, and performance therapy. We look to build long-lasting trusting relationships with our athletes. Sometimes you need a quick treatment when something is tweaked. Sometimes you need to rebuild after a new injury. Sometimes you need to change your training plan to continue to build your fitness while allowing a chronic injury to heal. Sometimes you need some manual work to optimize your body and maximize your performance.

STRONG. for New Parents

Being a parent is hard. Between balancing childcare, work, and your relationship, there’s often very little time left for yourself. Then add in a lack of sleep and lack of time to prepare and eat good meals. It’s not uncommon to see a decline in your fitness or an increase in new injuries. Our programs take all of this into consideration.

 

Whether your goal is to shed a few pounds or just stay in shape so that you can continue to play with your kids as they grow, we’ve got the solution for you.

 

We work with you to balance the physical stress of your workout with the life-stress of starting a family. 

 

Your program is built with the things you’re already doing in mind, as we work to guide you to where you want to go. This allows us to build a plan that supports your training goals, and that fits both your busy schedule and your budget.

The best athletes in the world have a team of individuals to help their game. With clinicians, therapists, fitness professionals, and gold pros, let us be your team. Working with some of the best golf coaches in the GTA, our unique approach combines physical, clinical, and golf-specific metrics to create an individual profile for you.

 

Based on your unique profile, we create a plan customized to your specific needs whether that focus is increasing mobility for healthier joints and fewer injuries, increasing fitness for more power, or improving the technical aspects of your game.

 

Constant communication between your golf pro, fitness trainer, and therapist ensures a collaborative approach so that you continue to see improvements in your game and you feel better on and off the course.

STRONG. for People in Pain

Being in pain doesn’t mean you need to stop living. But it does mean you need a hand to regain control of your body.

 

Chronic pain is complicated and managing it requires a comprehensive approach. Your symptoms can be affected by sleep, stress, physical activity, diet, and much more.

 

Our approach to chronic pain begins by thoroughly understanding you and all the factors that contribute to your pain. Next, we look to educate and help you understand your pain. Feeling like you’ve lost control over your pain or your own body can be awful. By helping you understand your pain, it allows us to better interpret the signals our body is telling and develop strategies on how to cope, reduce, and eliminate your symptoms.

 

Our clinical team is able to provide passive therapies for short-term pain relief and build emergency flare-up plans for when symptoms are high. Our team of designated personal trainers are happy to work with you one-on-one or collaborate with our clinical team to create a training plan to get you out of pain and back to normal activity.
